Hi, I am new to the tribe. I have been involved for a while now
with a local samba school. We just had a performance
recently and it was a blast! I usually play surdo and was
wondering how to locate any camps planning to put on
performances that might need some help.

Yes. Samba do Sol will be there this year. We are not just samba, although we use those instruments, with some modificatons like flames and fireproof heads. Samba do Sol is incorporating drummers and dancers from Seattle, Portland, Eugene, and Boulder.

I guess we're camping at area 2257 for some reason. Come and find us!

We are ALWAYS looking for bautcada! I've had little luck finding it on the playa. I think I ran into some of the Lloyd family boys once and threw down some samba reggae, which was fun.
