anyone know who the santa cruz - based samba group is/was? we were the alfaias that joined in for the jam after the man fell. i'd love to meet up or get involved. plus the drumming was kickass!

Sat, September 16, 2006 - 2:04 AMThe group was a mixture of people that came together for the Santa Cruz Fire Conclave performance before the burn. Some of the people were members of Sambada, Godess Funk, and Suco,...all bands from Santa Cruz!!!! (along with other community members) I was dancing around the area for a little but missed the conglomeration of other drummers.
Also, I just went to Brasil Camp this year in Sonoma and fell in love with the alfaias! (Jorge Martins was there from Maracatu Nacao)
