Samba do Sol will be doing samba drums on fire, plus breakbeat, reggae, samba mutado, and maracatu at Conclave thsi year. We'll probably also be roaming the playa looking for a good Brazilian percussion sesh!
Come and find us at area 2257 - we'll be there cranking the lugs on repiques and trying to keep the surdo heads from melting.
I've been told that the Lloyd family will be there, but they didn't respond to Samba do Sol's email!

I'm still planning on teaching this year. Only this time its going to be different. More about axe and samba reggae and focus on the booty... samba proved to be a little too much with playa brain...
so some samba, some axe/ samba reggae...

my campmates made me give a samba demonstration last night... it was quite a hoot...
anyways, we'll have loads of kava so stop on by....

Mon, August 7, 2006 - 11:45 PMhi becca, i think we swapped places or something. ric and malaika in the photo from pride 2005 are my friends who turned me on to the group. i and my roommate rose are bringing two alfaia to the playa and we're drumming as ambient drummers for the burn as well. i'll be camping somewhere around 8:30 with LipService so i'll come by and say hello.
